![]() late for Easter I wish I could offer you a quail chick in this photo. But even if the hatched chicks had been around these shells I doubt I would have gotten any in focus, they're so fast. When my husband arrived in his 3rd grade classroom yesterday morning, 14 out of 23 quail eggs had hatched in the night. Last night he left the 19 surviving chicks (two died, two had not hatched) in a brooder in the classroom by themselves, poor things. I hope all 19 will be alive and well today. I'll try to offer you a chick in focus next post. Mr. Flying will be bringing the quail chicks home tomorrow to raise them on the farm. In early April, 31 chicken chicks will be arriving at the post office, also to be raised on our little hobby farm. Bishop the Barn Cat will have to behave.
