I took this shot New Year's Day, but the property behind our barn still looks like this, buried in 10 inches of snow. Yesterday's shot was not our barn, and not typical of any barns in the U.S. I've seen.

It has been very cold this week: 0°F (-17° windchill), that’s -17°C (-27°C windchill). How do I feel about that? I was starting to get a little restless for spring, until I heard about Europe's weather lately, and then I got a lot restless for spring.

But I'm not complaining. I love winter, and this has been a beautiful one in Michigan.
