We've walked down the dune and onto the boardwalk you saw in yesterday's photo (I didn't post a photo of this boardwalk since I'd already posted another similar one).

The gentle undulations of the sand around the tender dune grasses have become more stark as snow has drifted. Please notice the snow's rising jagged edge next to the water. We'll see that phenomenon more closely soon.
