![]() Ha'penny Bridge River Liffey, Dublin, Ireland On my last morning in Dublin two weeks ago, I got down to the river at around 6:15am, when the world is quiet and the few people who are out are friendly. I think this man on the bridge is one of the few people I didn't talk with that morning. The Ha'penny Bridge, the pedestrian bridge which is officially called the Wellington Bridge, was opened in 1816. The toll was half a penny to cross it, giving it its name. I thank you sincerely for the birthday wishes yesterday! It was a good hard day at work, and then a celebration at a local restaurant bar where our son's band dedicated a set of songs to me.
