 the brethren Killarney National Park, County Kerry, Ireland They're probably mom and child, but Mr. Flying and I used to call the sheep in the Scottish Highlands 'the brethren' when we drove on two-track roads and came up over a hill to a flock of them. These are in the wilderness of Killarney National Park where I spent the day with 30 students a couple of weeks ago.
