![]() Killarney boats County Kerry, Ireland Killarney National Park (Páirc Náisiúnta Chill Airne) became the first national park in Ireland when the Muckross estate was donated in 1932, and has over 25,000 acres of wildnerness. We spent the day there, and for two hours toured the three lakes (Upper Lake, Muckross Lake and Lough Leane/Lower Lake) in boats like these. Our boats did just fine, unlike that one in the front there. I'm thinking it had had enough of the 49-day stretch of rain before we arrived.
