Rock of Cashel (Carraig Phadraig), County Tiperrary, Ireland

The entire hilltop where the Rock of Cashel sits is walled. These buildings and tombs, representing Ireland's ecclesiastical history back to the 12th century (and further to St. Patrick if you count just the spot itself), are fortress-like, as you saw in yesterday's photo.

This boy, with his soft little toy, are how I want to end this Cashel series. Thanks to Peter, let me clarify, this will not be the last photo of Ireland though. Just Cashel.
