Risch farm auction

man at Risch farm auction
Ingham County, Michigan

Our farm community was deeply hurt when Harold Risch, 76, was trampled and killed by one of his bulls last fall. On Saturday hundreds of farmers like this one gathered for the auction of Mr. Risch's farm equipment and British white cattle. The snow on this gentleman’s Carhartt coat shows the frigid spring week we’re having with the rest of the Midwest, East and even some of the South here in the US (while fires rage in California). It was a cold day in more ways than one. But the friends who gathered around Harold’s place were full of warmth.
