haven't lost 'em yet

haven't lost 'em yet

If I were really good, there'd be a bird or something framed in that center reflection.

We just got these in the mail. My husband teaches 3rd grade, and they're currently reading 'Time for Andrew' a sort of time travel story.

Well in the story the boy alive 'now' meets a boy from the past (a non-scary ghost) and learns to play marbles with him. Since my husband's 3rd graders have never heard of playing marbles, he told them about it from his own experience, explaining 'puries' and 'shooters' and how to play. It's turned into a phenemon with tournaments, and what I love most about it is that the kids are playing marbles with their grandpas!

For fun, go here to look at the marbles you can order and what their names are.

In this photo are:
bengal tiger (foreground)
meteor (far left)
picasso (lower right and upper middle left)
neptune (blue upper right)
monet (upper left corner)
rooster (in the middle)

PLEASE LOOK AT THE COMMENTS FROM MY HUSBAND'S 3RD GRADERS.

I'll post two more photos in the Lake Michigan series starting tomorrow.
