A closer view of the signal building on the long pier at Grand Haven.

The little signal building calls to the lake, 'bring me your surf, fill up my yard.' And the lake replies with spray upon spray, filling the yard with foam that freezes and builds, freezes and builds. And the building lighthouse that is reinforced with cement and iron says again, 'bring me more.'

In the summer I'll gather some night shots here so you can see the range lights lit along the pier.
